We used to love The Lift and would eat brunch there at least once a month. Unfortunately, in the last year, the quality of the food has declined. We had not eaten there for a while because of repeated disappointing experiences. This morning we decided to try again because the weather was beautiful and they have the best dog friendly patio. It was a mistake. My husband got the biscuits and gravy. The gravy has a funny taste that I can't describe. My husband didn't mind it but it's not the same recipe they used to make. I ordered the chorizo skillet. I've never had it but since my old favorites haven't been the same, I thought I'd try something new. It was so greasy I just picked at parts of it. If you are just looking for a great patio to have a beer, The Lift is perfect. However, we have given up on them for brunch.

*sharp inhale* This place took over an hour to get our food. The food was... pretty good actually. But the service was HORRIBLE. Don’t sit in the corner or they’ll forget you. Wanna try this place again sometime because I’ve heard great things. In the meantime, 2 stars seems accurate.

The food is very good and the menu is diverse. I love their Sunday Brunch. The patio is spacious and covered with flowering trees. Cocktails never fail. Try the Bloody Mary specials on Sunday during Brunch. Best in town

It was my first time there. Nicest people around. I'll definitely be back. ( I went back on the 22nd and had a good time. But I ordered chicken fingers and fries. Seems like the chicken was just leftover scrapes)

Great place for bar and grill food. Burger was pretty darn good! Good place to meet friends for food and conversation. Easy access to parking from State Street. Atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.
